OUR VALUES
NATURAL DYES AND MATERIALS
Synthetic Dyes: What’s the Issue?
The textile industry is the second most polluting in the world, generating around 70 billion tons of synthetic dye-contaminated wastewater every year. This waste often ends up in rivers and oceans, harming ecosystems and endangering the health of humans, animals, and plants. Despite its devastating impact, the issue still flies under the radar on both an industry and individual consumer level.
A Cleaner Alternative
Unlike synthetic dyes made from petrochemicals and heavy metals, natural dyes are derived from renewable plant and mineral sources. They’re non-toxic, bio-degradable, and far more gentle on the environment.
Natural dyes don’t just protect the planet - they are also kind to our bodies. They offer powerful antibacterial, antifungal, and antimicrobial benefits, helping to prevent skin irritation, support skin balance and promote healthier skin over time. It just makes sense that our natural bodies resonate and harmonise with natural materials on a fundamental level.
Organic Cotton
Organic cotton is our choice for a softer future - gentle on the earth, kind to those who grow it, and safe for those who wear it. Grown without harmful chemicals and using up to 91% less water than conventional cotton, it supports healthier ecosystems and protects the wellbeing of the farmers and their communities.
Empowering Artisans
By eliminating harmful substances from the dyeing process, we also create safer, healthier conditions for the artisans who work with these materials every day - ensuring that sustainability keeps not just the planet, but people at the forefront.

SMALL-BATCH COLLECTIONS
We keep our collections small, limiting the number of garments in each one - on purpose. This approach minimises waste and allows us to focus on what truly matters: the quality, craftsmanship and integrity of every piece.
At the heart of our work is a belief in mindful consumption - of both material and meaning. We want to inspire a more considered way of living and consuming, where each item is chosen with intention and worn with purpose.
It is our hope that every garment finds a lasting place in your wardrobe, collects stories as it is worn, and is eventually passed on with love when it is time for another chapter.
PRESERVATION OF ANCIENT CRAFT
In an increasingly industrialised and fast-paced world, traditional crafts are being sacrificed on the altar of consumerism, increasingly at risk of fading into obscurity. Yet these artisan practices are far more than just techniques; they are living legacies that carry the stories, skills and cultural identities of generations.
These crafts are rooted in values we deeply respect and resonate with: resourcefulness, durability and reverence for materials and time. Their methods are often inherently sustainable, relying on natural processes, slow rhythms, and an intimate history between land and community.
We are committed to preserving this ancestral wisdom in our own small way - not as a superficial tick in the trendy ‘green’ box, but as a lasting and weighty responsibility.

MEETING OUR MAKER
We have gone the extra mile, or rather 5,700 miles, to meet the dyers, tailors, embroiderers, and artisans behind our garments. Names, stories, and countless cups of chai have been shared, all while witnessing the beauty of their craft come to life.
Business has now become intertwined with something deeply personal, and we’re proud to know that our makers are enjoying a sustainable livelihood, financial independence, and access to ongoing education.
We believe this is just the beginning, and are committed to building a long-term partnership rooted in respect, transparency, and the growth of everyone involved.
